Primetime Pickleball's very effective instructional video on the 3rd Shot Drop (Key 1) know what and why behind the 3rd shot played during a serve - it will be either a drive, lob or 3rd shot drop...a slow arching shot...that gets the serving team to the net  (Key 2) have the correct technique - very similar to dink but- continental grip, bend down use legs, low to high, paddle face open, full arm, step moving forward into shot , contacting ball out in front of your body to push and lift ball over the net not snapping  wrist (Key 3) Drill - practice , practice, practice so you get the feel for this .  Use the 2 and 1 drill -  1  player feeder other 3rd shot striker, start at Kitchen...hit two shots back into the kitchen...move back a few steps...hit two shots into the kitchen...repeat moving back to the base line and then back in.  when hit the ball into the net or past kitchen...switch roles  See if you can go all the way back to baseline and back into kitchen without missing a shot.
